Beauty Environmental Speech and
Twitter Engagements
Research Question: How do Twitter users react to a makeup brand’s inclusion of green initiatives?
Hypothesis: Tweets with environmental speech will garner higher engagement in terms of both retweets and likes.
Results: We found that there is a significant relationship between the amount of likes a beauty brand’s tweet receives with the inclusion of environmental speech. There is no relationship between the amount of retweets a beauty brand’s tweet receives with the inclusion of environmental speech.
