The Ask: Drive interest in the NASCAR Playoffs for New Casual Fans with a specific focus on tune-in and event experience.

SMCI: The most attractive part of NASCAR is the camaraderie with the family of fans.

The Strategy: Give New Casual Fans a guaranteed, authentic NASCAR experience by teaming up with Barstool Sports and using their influence to inform, promote, and entertain.

Side Note: I was specifically interested in the psychology behind why people become fans of a sport or sports team. I read “The Secret Lives Of Sports Fans” by Eric Simons and highly recommend it if you are curious about this phenomenon as well!
